Looking forward to getting this new build house on site in early 2024.  It is a fantastic south facing site on the outskirts of Manorbier village in the National Park with wonderful views past the famous St James church to the bay beyond.  The client wanted a modern, sustainable and economical building in keeping with the simple cottage forms around the village and is protected from the coastal wind by traditional hung slate gables.  The house has an open plan kitchen and living area opening out onto the south facing terrace with views out over the bay.  The new house will replace a worn out 60s bungalow which will be crushed and almost completely re-used on site to form the landscaped bank stepping down into the garden.  The new house will be passive standard timber frame with recycled paper insulation. Next to the house we are perching a timber frame loft studio for the clients illustration work on top of the existing garage.  Great to working with the wonderful Jones & Bradley builders and Broadaxe Timber Frames.
