My design approach simplifies space, form and materials to bring clarity to how buildings are organised, lived in and built. Whether reworking an existing home or creating an entirely new one, I develop simple, elegant solutions to complex everyday needs.
From improving light, views, flow and privacy to resolving storage, clutter and creating spaces to bring people together, I design buildings, furniture and landscapes around how my clients want to live and work to create useful and beautiful homes.
Using simple, carefully detailed materials and forms, I create calm, functional spaces that are robust, economical and easy for clients and builders to understand. I value the collaborative nature of building and work hard to foster respectful relationships across the project team.
Working with me
I work across a range of scales, from renovations and extensions to new houses and masterplans for farms and smallholdings. With strong technical expertise, I specialise in solving complex problems, from difficult structures and services to tight spaces and planning challenges on sensitive sites such as conservation areas, listed buildings and National Parks.
