I’m working in the Beacons National Park on the renovation and conversion of a beautiful cottage and barn.   The client has a great sensibility for colour which I’m sure is partially what attracted them to the property with it’s gentle pink walls and red roofed barn.  We are carrying the theme through in the designs with blocks of bold colours against traditional and natural materials.  The cottage will get a new entrance, boot room and utility and a fully re-planned first floor with family bathroom.  The garden is also beautiful and the kitchen is getting an enlarged window opening directly onto it.  The new rooms in the barn will face the garden with sunlit south terraces and views of the hills.  I’ve enjoyed doing the drawings for this one, more freehand and less 3D modelling, I think they fit well with the old new spirit if the project.
