Rear extension and loft room in the Rush Common conservation area in Lambeth.  The challenge here was to reorganise the circulation to create better flow through to the garden and provide space for an enlarged kitchen, downstairs loo and coat space.  Digging out and setting back the new steps through from the living room has overcome the changes in levels and ceiling heights and created views through to the now spacious garden terrace which gets sun for much of the year.  The arched openings create a focus for views through the house.
