Carriage House: Didmarton Conservation Area & Grade II Listing
Renovation of a historical outbuilding in the grounds of a Grade II listed cottage in the Didmarton Conservation Area.
The outbuilding has had a wide range of uses over the years from it’s original use as a carriage house to storage and processing for the butchers who lived and worked there in the 1920s. Recently the building has been used as a garden shed and the client is restoring and converting it to provide a flexible living and working space for their picture framing business and a utility, boot room and store for work in the garden.
Planning was granted in early 2026 with work starting on the sensitive and historical renovation later in the year using traditional lime and natural building products.
